Embracing Data Dynamics: A Journey from Corporate Cubicle to Entrepreneurship 

Hello there! I’m Taylor Gibbs, the brain behind Dynamic Data Labs LLC. I’m here to share my journey from corporate data science to the dynamic world of entrepreneurship. For this, I must start from the very beginning. 

I grew up in a rural, blue-collar household in Central Florida. My formative years were spent witnessing the fallout of the Great Recession and its aftermath. Grappling with uncertainty was not something I was interested in. Naturally, I became interested in using data to reduce uncertainty. 

To this day, I swear that the 2011 film “Moneyball” (starring Jonah Hill & Brad Pitt) inspired an entire generation of data scientists. I come from a family of baseball/softball players; so, seeing sports analytics play out on the big screen…was a big deal. My parents didn’t want me to work a manual labor job, like every generation before me. Before I got into tech, I worked on construction sites alongside my parents. I learned early the value of hard work and the resilience required to thrive AND survive. I learned that, to be successful, work must be performed with passion and optimism. 

My approach to business is also influenced by Native-American values that were passed down by my grandmothers. Strive for balance, equity, and always think about how your actions today will affect the lives of people 7 generations from now. Everything is connected. Dynamic data mirrors these principles, fueling powerful results.  

Transparency is a cornerstone of how we operate. We don’t believe in sugarcoating things; we prefer openness and directness. It’s not just an asset; it’s a fundamental part of our DNA. We believe that by being transparent, we can build stronger partnerships with our clients, fostering an environment of trust and collaboration. 

I’ve spent years navigating the complex corridors of corporate data science, watching even the most agile projects crumble into waterfall-style chaos. It was in those moments that I realized the need for a more streamlined approach, one that can accurately predict potential obstacles and circumvent them with lightning speed.
